China Orchid has been part of Cullompton's high street for over two decades, cooking Cantonese, Peking and Szechuan dishes drawn from recipes carried through three generations of the same family. Three dining rooms and a small bar make space for everything from a quiet dinner for two to a full banquet table.
Nothing is rushed here. Stocks and sauces are made from scratch, vegetables are cut to order, and the wok rarely stops moving. It is a simple approach to cooking, followed carefully, service after service.
